Misconception – Nomination by NSW for a business visa

Q: Does my business background have to be in the same field as my proposed business in order to be nominated by NSW government?

A: NSW government has a flexible approach to nomination for business visas and you don’t need to demonstrate that you have a business background in the same field as your proposed NSW business.

Student visa frameworks simplified

On the 1st of July 2016, the Australian Government introduced a simplified student visa framework (SSVF) to support Australia’s education services sector.

Key changes under the SSVF are:

  • a reduction in the number of student visa subclasses from eight to two; and
  • the introduction of a simplified single immigration risk framework for all international students.
